Fate Of The Sorting Hat
62
Although this is a bit of fan-fiction, it would be nice if we knew exactly what were to play out for the characters after the final battle at Hogwarts. This is only my imagination taking me away, I just hope we all learn what continued on-some day!
Fate Of The Sorting Hat
Riddle me this, riddle me that,
just place on that deciding hat.
Wriggle your fingers, your nose, your toes-
where it will place you,
nobody knows.
Excitement is brewing,
spells and wishes aside,
cross your fingers and close your eyes-
pretend you are taking Ol' Norbert for a ride.
The hat is deciding and having trouble-
you are tough,
most definitely not a Hufflepuff.
Trying, trying, yet again-
the hat is gazing off,
you've left him in complete "awe",
you most certainly do not belong to Rowena Ravenclaw.
With two choices left,
one wicked and one cool,
the smell of a Bertie Bott's Every Flavor Bean...
begins to make you drool.
"A toss up, " says the hat,
"You'd fit in both well..."
"but my instinct has chosen,
so neednt you dwell."
"Slytherin would suit you,
your parents were once it's fans-
however, young lady-
it is out of my hands."
"Godric you see,
a good hearted bloke-
says only for Gryffindor
your story shall invoke."
Hop off the stool,
anxious and relieved at last,
the hat has decided-
but not so fast.
"Young lady", the hat did proclaim,
remember the face in front of you,
and pay attention to his name.
For now that you've met James-
Potter of course-
your journey here at Hogwarts,
will never be the same."

Hello, MiAmore15, GREAT read! Voted up and all the way. You are a very-talented girl. And you write beautiful and deep poetry. I loved this hub. Every word of it. And I am now your follower. Kenosha? I have relatives in Kenosha. Rick Williams, and his brother, Dennis, and their two sisters, Debbie and Linda, probably with married names. Hope you know them. I wish you a Merry Christmas and Invite You to check out my hubs and be a follower too. I would adore that. Have a great weekend. Kenneth Avery, from Hamilton, a small northwest Alabama town that looks like Mayberry where Andy and Barney worked. I hope to hear from you soon and keep up the great work.

I always loved the Hogwarts sorting hat's songs! :D I've never had the patience to come up with one myself, but this is fabulous. I'm personally a Slytherin all the way. Voted funny, awesome, interesting and up.
